Job Description:
Capitol Pain Institute is a progressive and innovative pain management clinic providing a wide array of services from conservative treatments to state-of-the-art interventional procedures.
At Capitol Pain we strive to provide high quality, compassionate care to the patients that we serve.
We are currently looking for a Medical Front Desk Coordinator at our New Albany location and when needed open to traveling to our Pickerington Location.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Enter patient demographic and insurance information into the practice management system Contact patients to clarify or obtain correct insurance information or update their insurance identification.
When necessary, contact patient stating the office does not accept their insurance and to inform of self-pay rates Ensures efficient, friendly, and professional patient registration, and check out Establishes procedures, prepares and coordinates schedules for multiple providers, and expedites workflow Ensures all necessary reports and forms are completed daily.
Performs all required front desk responsibilities to assist in patient care; including but not limited to checking patient into clinic, responding to patient questions, resolving patient problems/complaints, scheduling patients visits, checking patients out of the clinic, and collecting patient copayments and balances Cross-training with other billing staff duties as needed Verifying insurance using online verification Phreesia Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic understanding of insurance terminology and plan types.
Excellent math and/or accounting skills.
HIPAA certification.
Excellent communication skills, accuracy, attention to detail.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Self-motivated.
Organizational skills, patience, timeliness a must.
Communication skills with patients, coworkers, and physicians a plus.
Past experience in the healthcare industry, billing, or healthcare billing a big plus.
