Optician
Sorensen & Sorensen Optometrists, a patient centered private optometry practice in New Albany is seeking an experienced, reliable optician to join our team. Applicants looking for full time, part time employment, or fill in will be considered. License is not required but we prefer applicants with experience in frame selection, educating patients on lenses, and frame adjustments. You must be a team player who wants to work in a fun but busy environment with a great team and great patients!
In addition to normal optician duties, our opticians work with the Doctor in the exam room and also teach contact lens insertion and removal. If not proficient in these skills, we will train.
Candidates must be articulate, outgoing, detail-oriented, a team player, have good speed with data entry into a computer, have good math skills and are always willing to put the patient first.
Patient office hours are Mon, Thurs 8:
00-5:
30, Wed-Closed, Tues 9:
45-7, Fri 8-5, one Saturday per month 8:
00-12:
30 (monthly office meeting will be before or after office hours). Staff alternates between opening and closing the office.

Salary is based on experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
