PositionDescription
The Health Mart Atlas Operations department is currently inneed of a flexible and detail oriented Accounting Analyst to work as part ofthe finance team. This role primarilywill be responsible for assisting in the quick resolution of high prioritycustomer issues. The successfulcandidate with have the opportunity to work with a collective team on a varietyof subject matters within the Operations Department.
Key Responsibilities
The AccountingAnalyst will be responsible for the timely resolution of customer researchtickets. These tickets, often initiateddirectly by Health Mart Atlas customers, exist because of questions and/orconcerns related to daily payments made by Health Mart Atlas from PBMs participatingin the central payment program. The resolution of these tickets will requireextensive analysis of internal customer data sets, using tools such asSQL/PLSQL and Excel, along with effective communication with our external PBMpartners.
Manage the current businessprocess established to monitor the collection of Direct and IndirectRemuneration fees processed through the Health Mart Atlas central paymentprogram and partner with other internal teams to continue to enhance themethods of minimizing financial risk to our customers. The Accounting Analyst will be responsiblefor reporting claim level details associated with Direct and IndirectRemuneration fees via the Health Mart Atlas proprietary payment system
Assist theDirector of Operations with tasks related to the month end close processincluding the preparation and review of journal entries, the preparation andreview of monthly tax schedules, and the completion of the month end balanceprocess
The Accounting Analyst will befully cross-trained in multiple time sensitive day to day tasks to serve as theprimary back-up for our other Operation Analysts. These additional tasks include (1) processing835 electronic remittance data files Health Mart Atlas receives from PBMpartners into a proprietary payment system for processing of daily ACH paymentsto Health Mart Atlas pharmacies and (2) processing the daily Health Mart AtlasACH payment and weekly check run.
The Accounting Analyst will beresponsible for the timely completion of ad hoc reporting requests using SQL toprovide critical information to our customers as related to PBM remittancepayments.
The Accounting Analyst will beresponsible for assisting with the execution of projects initiated to helpdrive continuous improvement within the Operations Department.
MinimumRequirements
5 years accounting experience
CriticalSkills
Experience in accounting, finance, finance analytics or similarexperience
Advanced MS Excel Proficiency(v-look ups, pivot table, functions, data manipulation, etc.)
Strong SQL QueryProficiency.
Fundamental accountingmethodologies and practices experience.
Strong analytical skillsresearching issues, analyze data anomalies and root cause.
AdditionalKnowledge & Skills
Customer-oriented with strongability for trouble-shooting and issue resolution
Knowledge of managed care,from a retail pharmacy or PBM perspective, a plus
Must be flexible and thrive ina fast pace environment with the ability to work on multiple taskssimultaneously
Education
4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalentexperience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
