Systems Administrator II

Description Mission Essential is seeking an IT Systems Administrator II for our New Albany, OH office. The Systems Administrator II is expected to perform a range of IT duties as well as provide operational input and support for migrating new and legacy applications and services to cloud computing.  OBJECTIVE: The Systems Administrator II will directly support Mission Essential's network in day to day activities to include Active Directory domain, VMware, Microsoft Exchange, HP 3PAR SAN, HP Servers, iOS/Android device management, and WatchGuard router administration.  This individual will work with Cloud Architects leading working sessions to identify, categorize, prioritize, and analyze data and information to work into a cloud migration project plan. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Tier 2 and 3 incidents to resolution from both local and remote employees Work alongside Mission Essential network and system administrators. Duties will include Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, Storage, and IIS administration Maintain administrative expertise with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure Assist with installation of new hardware and software and ability to help train IT staff and employees on its use Assist with any Unified Communications duties that include, moves, adds, changes, and maintenance of our Unified Communications (Skype for Business / Polycom VTC) systems Participate in the creation and maintenance of documentation for troubleshooting and knowledge base visibility Analyze new and existing systems and determine how they can achieve client needs Report security settings, changes, and issues using the Service Desk and Change Management process Assist with system maintenance and problem resolution, to include operating system patches, firmware/software upgrades, and system optimization techniques Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations Perform systems monitoring to detect performance issues, security holes, and unauthorized intrusion File server administration including the creation of networkshares and associated permissions Troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPO), Active Directory, DNS, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), RDS, SSLVPN, Smart Card Authentication  Assist with asset tracking, configuration, warranty issues, new equipment selection and cost analysis as needed Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software and hardware products and services Perform other duties as assigned JobSpecifications:  Must have on-call availability for end users to perform networking, desktop support, systems administration, and security duties. Must be available to work long hours if required maintaining normal system operation Must be able to work independently on longer-term projects and keep project plans up to date Minimum Requirements A minimum of 6-8 years relevant experience directly supporting an enterprise IT infrastructure Required/desired Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (required), Network+, Server+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, VMWare (VCP), CISSP Windows Server 2016/2012/2008 build, deploy, configure, troubleshoot servers hosted on Microsoft Azure and VMWare Experience supporting HP 3PAR or similar storage area network (SAN) systems Must have relevant knowledge of current Microsoft desktop (Windows10) and Macintosh operating systems In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Operating Systems, applications and system administration A minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience cloud experience in administering Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure Experience implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment Experience writing technical documentation, especially in relation to AWS or Azure Cloud architecture The IT System Administrator MUST be a proven problem solver and able to troubleshooting common IT server and desktop related issues Familiar with Microsoft Office 2010-2016 and Adobe Acrobat applications Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer presentation skills Due to a geographically distributed workforce, IT staff must be available - when needed - to support teams after hours and on weekends Desired Requirements Active or the ability to obtain a Government approved Secret clearance preferred  A college level degree relevant to this role is a plus Experience configuring and troubleshooting Network Firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs and Wireless Access Points is a plus Incredibly, tech-savvy with a background supporting Windows Server, VMware, Network Storage, Network, and desktop issues Experience in various public cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Office 365) One or more Amazon or Microsoft cloud certifications Experience with at least one configuration technology including Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. Experience working with technologies like password managers, OTP authenticators, 2-Step Authentication (MFA) encryption, MDM (Mobile Device Management) + Computer Management Basic network printer setups and troubleshooting Experience with desktop deployment/engineering with Microsoft or 3rd party vendor solutions Any infrastructure development/scriptingexperience highly desirable Current working knowledge of firewall technology A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, and SMTP Vulnerability mitigation and path management Expert knowledge in wireless network technologies

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
