Application Support Specialist I

Description This Application Support Specialist works closely with the Software Development and Technology teams to ensure applications support business strategies and to improve business processes, minimizing customizations while delivering quality. Application experience specific to this position includes, but is not limited to, in-depth knowledge of Windows Server Administration, Application Server Administration, SQL Database Server, and enterprise application administration. This position will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, training, and troubleshooting assigned Business applications in coordination with the other departments and users. OBJECTIVE:Work closely with the Software Development, Program Managers, and operations, focusing on software support. Act as administrator and maintain a variety of applications to support the day to day business departments with appropriate application solutions.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer Service Desk and, if needed, work across departments to resolve issues promptly Work with internal customers ensuring that managed applications meet corporate quality standards and conform to industry practices Analyze new and existing systems and determine how they can achieve client needs Report security settings, changes, and issues to application owners and through the internal Change Management Process Perform other duties as assigned by Technology leadership JOBSPECIFICATIONS: Must be detail-oriented and organized Must demonstrate effective time management Must have the ability to complete tasks promptly as well as the ability to meet deadlines when applicable to ensure proper implementation and project completion   Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities  Must have extensive knowledge of enterprise level applications This position requires the employee to be familiar MS Office, and all Mission Essential computer application and related software, hardware and operating systems This is NOT a remote opportunity and requires the employee to be onsite This position requires occasional travel Minimum Requirements Three to five (3-5) years of relevant work experience In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Operating Systems, applications and application system administration Desired Requirements Technical Certifications preferred Active or the ability to obtain a Government approved Secret clearance preferred Additionalexperiencein the following areas is a plus:  UltiPro or similar HRIS experience SharePoint 2013/2016 Development/Administration Experience Deltek Product Suite Experience Experience with database systems Experience administering a Learning Management System Enterprise Application Transition and Implementation Experience preferred  Degree in Computer Science or related field

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
